In the Clemens gallery

Hingham Library is pleased to welcome Patricia Laliberte to Clemens
Gallery. His exhibition, entitled Sunset to Sunrise – The Night Sky, opens Saturday October 9
and continues until Thursday, November 4.

Patricia Laliberte has been an art educator for 57 years with teaching experience
students from preschool to high school as well as students from the end of studies center. She currently
volunteers as an art teacher at the Cohasset and Hingham Centers for the Elderly.

She graduated in Arts Education and Expressive Therapies and she did
in-depth courses and studies of art, art education and art history in various
schools and museums here and in Europe.

Laliberte says his “favorite medium is soft pastel, and because of my love of nature and
the outdoors, my subjects are mainly scenes of local landscapes. i work often
on a series of paintings on the same subject – a wonderful way to learn the subject ‘in
depth’. Intrigued by the sky from childhood, it seemed like the time to do
a sky series – I have limited my observations and paintings of the sky to a “from dusk to dawn”
series. “

In the dolphin gallery

Hingham Library is pleased to welcome Donna Rossetti-Bailey to the Dolphin
Gallery. the Rossetti-Bailey exhibition, Unfinished, opens Saturday October 9 and
continues until Thursday, November 4. The show is sponsored by North River Arts
Society, and the public is invited to an opening reception on Thursday, October 21 from
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Regarding the exhibition, Rossetti-Bailey says: “Like so many other events during the 18
month, this exhibition, initially scheduled for July 2020, was postponed due to the
pandemic. Life as we all knew it had come to a screeching halt and many things were
left aside. The title of this program Unfinished addresses this theme and the
many paintings I have worked on before and during the last few months … and the many others
still to paint!

Pastel landscape artist Donna Rossetti-Bailey of Marshfield, MA, was an art
instructor for 46 years since graduating from Boston University School of Fine Arts in
1974. She taught in the award winning art program at Rockland Public Schools for
23 years. Now for 21 years she has been teaching pastel painting and drawing
courses for adults in private arts organizations.

Donna has also led workshops at the national, regional and local levels. She has
has won numerous awards for his soft pastel paintings and is a member of several
associations. Donna received the prestigious Masters Circle Award from the
International Association of Pastel Societies and Master Artist Status on Cape Cod
Art center.
