‘The Biblical Imagination in German Expressionist Prints’ on display at the Abraham Art Gallery

The Abraham Art Gallery on the Plainview campus of Wayland Baptist University opened a new exhibit this week.

“The Biblical Imagination in German Expressionist Prints” will be on display until October 15.

The exhibition was shared from the collection of Sandra Bowden. It features graphic art prints created by the Expressionists of the early 20e century, woodblock prints and carved masks, according to a press release from the fine arts department at Wayland Baptist University.

Bowden is a Christian artist and collector known for interpreting scripture and faith through mixed media, according to the press release.

The gallery is located in WBU’s Mabee Learning Library and Resource Center. Those interested can visit the gallery Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
