Knoxville, Tenn. (WATE) – A new art gallery has made its grand debut during Knoxville’s First Friday festivities.
Pivot Point Fine Art Gallery is located in historic Emory Place. Don Stoner and Faith Ferguson filled the interior of the 130-year-old building with works by local, regional and national artists.
The artists on display use a range of materials in their work, including paint, ceramics and glass. Stoner plans to rotate the gallery regularly and continue to bring in new artwork.
He is excited to be in the neighborhood and creating what will hopefully be an arts and culture hub.
His goal is to create that first bridge and that first “wow” moment for first-time buyers.
“I hope they spend time connecting with an artwork that they really love and connecting with the artist, and we would like them to find an artwork that they want to bring back. home and enjoy it for the next 10 or 20 years,” Stoner said.
You can visit Pivot Point Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 15 Emory Place.
