Opening of a new art gallery and studio in Wellsville, NY

The grand opening is scheduled for August 19.

The public is invited to the inauguration of Studio 34fourteen, a new art gallery and artist’s studio, which will take place on Friday August 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The grand opening will include live acoustic music, meet-and-greets with some of the exhibiting artists, hors d’oeuvres, self-guided tours of the space, and a free outdoor cigar bar. The gallery is located at 3414 Riverside Drive on the same property as the Riverside Farmers Market across from Kwik Fill.

The gallery is inaugurated by Marshall Green, former executive director of the Wellsville Creative Arts Center and current owner of Top Entertainment DJ Service. “The space will serve two purposes,” Green said. “Half will be an art gallery showcasing works by local and regional artists and the other half will be a personal studio to create my own art.” Green commented that he sees this gallery as a place to buy, “that one piece,” for his home or office. Green also hopes to use his connections in New York to further develop relationships with curators to help better market artists in upstate New York.

The artists currently featured at Studio 34fourteen are: Glenn Zweygardt, Professor Emeritus of Sculpture at Alfred University; Marsha VanVlack, sculptor and art educator in Whitesville; Mike Griffin, a ceramic artist from Naples, NY; John Merlino, an accomplished painter from Buffalo, NY; and Marshall Green.
