New exhibition presented at the Medium Art Gallery in Ukiah – The Ukiah Daily Journal

Deep Valley Arts Collective and Medium Art Gallery present ENCounter Culture – an art exhibition about self-expression without borders featuring high profile art forms such as street art, pop art, graffiti and d other subculture art forms. This freedom of expression is an opportunity to raise awareness of social and political issues through thematic exploration and to make art for the sake of making art.

First Friday Art Walk – Show Opening Reception will take place on Friday, June 3 from 5-8 p.m. Music by DJ Certone.

ENCounter Culture features works by Aim Hover, Amelia Rubie, Amy Womeldorff, Andre Rubie, Andy Conway, Chris Pugh, Colton J. Smith, Derick Ion, E. Taesali, Gary Gregory, J. Mark Neumeyer, Jake Juan, James D Kester, James Munday, Jazzminh Moore, Jethro, JJC, Kari Hartmann, Layla Paniagua, Lillian Rubie, Luna Assassin, Madalayne M. Zacapa-Lagunas, Matt Cresetto, Miss Lynn, Revers US Crew, Sidd Finch, Spencer J. Brewer, The Poetician, The Velvet Bandit, Toby Hill, Vegan FTMD THR and Whoopsie Hoop.

Medium Art Gallery is located inside the Pear Tree Center in Ukiah at 522 E. Perkins St., next to Rod’s Shoes. The gallery’s opening hours are Fridays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

ENCounter Culture is on view until July 24.
