Heider Center for the Arts-Art Gallery, 405 E. Hamlin St. West Salem, will present “Digital Artistry Expressed” from October 18 to November 30.

The show’s artists are Mary Ann Roesler and high school student Sasha Grueneis.

The opening hours of the gallery are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 4:00 p.m. and are open during all evenings Heider Center Mainstage / Mainstage Plus

An artistic reception will be held on Thursday, October 28, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Roesler’s artwork came from his photography background. Now using photographs, Photoshop, Lightroom and other digital programs, she can enhance her photos and develop new artistic thinking. Her pieces show natural, floral and urban landmarks printed on canvas and finished with a protective giclee coating.

“This gallery exhibition tells a story of digital art expressed through nature, the floral, the urban and the imagination with a totally different approach to traditional art,” she said.

Grueneis’ work is a variety of media, from drawing to digital photography, sculpture and digital art. His pieces present a balance between fantasy and a deep emotional connection between viewer and subject.
