Bay City Arts Center Announces New After-School Program – Drama & Improvisation Workshops – Tillamook County Pioneer

The after-school program will provide local youth from Kindergarten to Grade 8 with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) -based learning opportunities throughout the school year.

The after-school program will begin Monday, January 10 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday, with two sessions of drama and improvisation workshops open to students in Grades 4 to 8, held at the premises of the Bay City Arts. Center. This course will be led by the guest artist, Lanessa Long. Lanessa has been studying at a theater academy in France for a few months, honing her skills in theater, clowning and improvisation. bring back what she learned to Tillamook to enrich the skills of young people in our region.

All participants will be required to wear masks and to distance themselves socially, regardless of their vaccination status.
