The winning coin will be used for the corporate greeting card
The Grayson Gallery & Art Center invites artists to submit original works for an exhibition titled âHope and Inclusionâ.
The exhibit is sponsored by the Mountain Association of Eastern Kentucky who will also choose an artist or piece on display for a commissioned work to use as an annual online greeting card and a selected artist will also be responsible for creating a printed holiday card.
Up to three original works by an artist can be deposited on Saturday, November 22 or Monday, November 24 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the gallery. Art needs to be wired for framing and 3D pieces ready for display. The artist’s name, title, medium and price should be labeled on each piece for identification.
Entrance is free; a 20 percent commission will be deducted from works sold only. The art will remain on display until the end of 2021 and artists will be notified when all pieces are picked up in-house in January.
A reception will be held at the gallery during the Grayson F! Nal Fr! Days Art Walk on November 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
There will also be cash prizes of $ 50, one each of the choices of the GGAC Board of Directors, Brandon Click Memorial Award and
People’s Choice, will be presented during the awards and announcements portion of the evening at 7:30 p.m.
There will be live music throughout the evening by the Huntington Blues Society All-Stars and light refreshments will also be provided
