Art Exhibits, Scavenger Hunts Planned at Summerside Eptek Center in August

SUMMERSIDE, PEI — The Eptek Arts and Culture Center in Summerside has planned an art exhibition and gallery games for the month of August.

Exhibitions

The Celebration of Craft, Yield exhibition, curated by Maegan Black, invites visitors to slow down and reflect with the fine craft collection.

The exhibit features 24 Island artisans who work in a variety of mediums, including textiles, ceramics, woodworking, jewelry, metalwork and basketry.

Another exhibit, Votes for Women, will commemorate the centennial of some women who first won the right to vote in Prince Edward Island’s provincial elections.

This exhibit is divided into sections which are presented at the seven sites of the Museum and the PEI Heritage Foundation. throughout the summer.

Gallery Games

Families looking for fun and educational activities for children can participate in the center’s gallery scavenger hunts related to the exhibits.
