I am very pleased to announce that in the coming 2010-2011 season, KFAR Jewish Arts Center will partner with the
Old Town School of Folk Music.

Together, the organizations will co-present a set of Jewish and Israeli themed events at its as part of the Old Town's free
World Music Wednesday concert series, starting with a November 10th performance by
Raquy and the Caveman.
"Old Town School of Folk Music teaches and celebrates music and cultural expressions rooted in the traditions of diverse American and global communities. Founded in 1957, Old Town School of Folk Music provides a wide range of music, dance, theater, and visual arts courses to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Whatever one's interest, Old Town School provides broad access to over 700 accredited class offerings, private lessons, and workshops that span a wide range of artistic genres."
KFAR is very pleased to be working with
Old Town School of Folk Music, one of Chicago's most important cultural institutions and is one of the country's largest community music schools.
It joins the
growing list of cultural institutions and organizations with which we partner and advocate for a Jewish cultural voice in the public sphere.
