About the Arts Havurah

S.H.E.M.A. is the Synagogue Havurah for Education, Music and Arts, a congregation-based community building initiative focused through the lens of arts and culture programming.


Members of the 'Arts Havurah' gather to learn and social at periodic Conversations on Contemporary Jewish Culture as well as promote participation in the congregation's other arts related events throughout the year, arranged through the Havurah's members and held at the synagogue.


Congregation B'nai Emet is a Reform congregation with a warm approach to tradition...we seek to make Jewish life meaningful and significant by traditional Jewish practices with contemporary perspectives.
