Rugelach and Reggae

Jews and Rastafarians borrow more from one another than great music.

Reggae wasn’t the first music to appropriate Jewish imagery, but its the most popular. The connections are as little understood as Rastafarian culture itself, but are its ties to Judaism more than skin deep?  And how is reggae itself being re-appropriated by Jews to deepen appreciation for Judiasm?  We’ll cover the timeline and notable figures of Jewish Reggae and some of the lessons it can teach us about our own identity.
