Cultural Leadership and Learning program

KFAR Jewish Arts Center’s Cultural Leadership and Learning program is an exciting new offering for young professionals interested in advancing contemporary artistic expression in our Jewish community.

CLAL provides young professionals in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s with the opportunity to learn about the important role of arts and culture in contemporary Jewish identity.  Through a set of five weekly sessions, participants become familiar with exciting new cultural expressions reinvigorating Jewish life around the world today.  In the process, CLAL offers the chance to take leadership roles in advancing these contemporary Jewish arts locally through KFAR programs and meet other like-minded young professionals.

Program Information:

  • January 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15 and 22 (snow date)
  • Five weekly 1.5 hour sessions that include
    • Discussion of issues of Jewish identity and the arts
    • Learning about KFAR Jewish Arts Center programs
    • Arts oriented locale on Chicago’s north side
    • Program also offers volunteer opportunities
    • Capstone “Gallery Gathering” Group Project
