TEMPLE SHOLOM PRESENTS “THE SOUL CHILDREN OF CHICAGO” TO CELEBRATE SHABBAT AND THE LIFE OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
It has become a glorious tradition for Temple Sholom to commemorate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the week that memorializes his legacy.
For eight years Temple Sholom has done this by celebrating with a unique program that combines our Friday night Shabbat service with the energetic music of the “Soul Children of Chicago,” led by Walt Whitman, Jr.
The Soul Children is a group of young performers dedicated to bringing the tradition of glorious gospel music to people around the world. More information can be found on their website, www.soulchildrenchicago.com
The free program begins at 7:00 p.m. with a wine and cheese reception at 6:15 p.m prior to Shabbat Services.
