Event Description

purimFEST is a mini music festival shows off some of the areas best musical talent. Come to the Logan Square Auditorium on March 6th for a night full of music, dancing, costumes, comedy, and fun.

Featuring:
ZMICK, a jam band from Urbana who plays everything from Jazz to Jamtronica, and often featured at Summercamp Music Festival, is headlining PurimFest 2010.

JAIK WILLIS, is a folk rock Chicago legend, who last year played unopposed at Bonnaroo Music Festival between the Beastie Boys and Phish.

KELSEY MONTANEZ, the beautiful singer songwriter opens the event by infusing powerful soul into her brutally honest indie songs and has captivated audiences for years.

FLOW THEORY, will close the event with their aggressive, progressive jams which range from funk to dance to reggae.

JIMMY VALENTINE AND THE ATOMIC LOVE EXPLOSION, play psychedelic blues/rock with two female and one male vocalist, Jimmy Valentine, who first learned the craft of music from the great Jerry Lee Lewis.

ALWAYS THE VILLAIN, are a local alternative pop group which features former members of Lucius Warbaby, and has drawn rave reviews at venues like the Elbo Room, the Double Door, and the Cubby Bear.

THE INTERNS, are an up and coming Mash-Up DJ tandem from the Northside whose raw energy and smooth dance grooves have kept fans on their feet at their shows.

AVROMI STEINBERG, is the host of a local music radio show as well as a terrific stand up comedian.

COSTUME THEMED 18+ show.
Doors Open: 8:00 PM going until 2:00 AM

Food vendors (kosher), a full bar, merch table, and a costume contest will all be on site for the festivities.

PurimFest is a charitable event that focuses on enlivening the community as much as entertaining those attending. The event will help raise funds for special needs children organization, Keshet. Please bring your canned food to donate to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
