SUMMARY:Oranges ROCK the Seder Plate
DESCRIPTION:\n\nSince the 1980's many Seder plates have seen the addit
 ion of an Orange to the symbolic foods eaten on Passover. The addition
 al fruit symbolizes those who for centuries were left out of participa
 tion in Jewish ritual life- namely women.\n\nThis Pesach, KFAR is plea
 sed to present Oranges on Seder Plates, a showcase featuring three pow
 erhouse female performers.\n\nGirls in Trouble\n Led by violin-looper 
 and singer Alicia Jo Rabins, Girls in trouble combines mysticism, a lo
 oping pedal, ancient women's tales and poetry to make beautiful songs 
 about love & leprosy.\n\nThe band's material draws on Rabins' affinity
  for punk shows, classical violin training, and two years studying the
  Bible in Jerusalem while playing in rock clubs at night. Alicia is al
 so a member of the klezmer-rock band Golem.\n\nStereo Sinai\nStereo Si
 nai is the Good Book like you've never heard it before. If Kelly Clark
 son and Gnarls Barkley had been on the mountain with Moses, they would
  have come down sounding a lot like Stereo Sinai. Mixing conservation 
 with innovation, the band is working to lend renewed relevance to anci
 ent texts. Stereo Sinai's \"Biblegum Pop\" is the flip side to Ray Cha
 rles' and Kanye West’s pioneering steps, fusing traditional gospel m
 usic with modern themes.\n\nNaomi Less\n Naomi Less, Jewish Chick Rock
 er, delivers an edgy-pop rock show with soulful melodies and tribal ly
 rics. Naomi has dedicated her life to putting out music that promotes 
 the full inclusion of un-objectified girls and women In 2008, she foun
 ded, Jewish Chicks Rock to inspire more Jewish girls to pick up instru
 ments and express themselves through rock music. Whether with her full
 -band or in a solo-acoustic show, Naomi amplifies positive messaging t
 hrough words of hope, strength and confidence to her fans. Naomi is al
 so a founding company member of Storahtelling and serves as its Direct
