Please join us on Sunday, February 7, from 1-3 pm, at Beth Emet synagogue in Evanston, for a wonderful afternoon of music and learning, featuring Cantor Arik
Luck of Beth Emet and Cantor Howard Friedland of the Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation in Evanston.
This program is part of a three-session course offered collaboratively by Beth Emet and Ezra Habonim, the Niles Township Jewish Congregation, in Skokie, comparing the Conservative, Reconstructionist and Reform movements in the areas of history, music and theology. The program is funded by a grant from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and the Community Foundation for Jewish Education of Metropolitan Chicago.
Beth Emet is located at the corner of Dempster Street and Ridge Avenue (1224 Dempster Street) in Evanston.
Free for members of Beth Emet and Ezra Habonim, the Niles Township Jewish Congregation (please register);
$10 for non-members.
(Because the question has been raised, please note that the three denominations being discussed are those with which the two sponsoring synagogues are affiliated, and that is why Orthodox Judaism is not covered in this series.)
